The Grill & Everes’s Room
Amazing food & attentive service
On the ground floor of St Mary’s Hall Hotel, Isles of Scilly, you will find our restaurant The Hall. A relaxed dining area and bar that focuses on providing all guests with amazing food and attentive service. We recently refurbished the main dining room which is now known as the “Grill Room” to create a rustic yet chic steakhouse style setting. With leather banquette seating, feature brick walls, solid wood flooring and low-level lighting, we hope it’s an inviting and contemporary space.
The new window view into the kitchen, means you can see the chefs preparing your delicious meal while you sit back in comfort. Or guests can choose to dine in the “Everes’s Room” which offers a slightly more formal setting with crisp white linen tablecloths and fresh cut flowers.
Local & Sustainable
The menu has been carefully put together by our Executive Chef Phil Fallows and Head Chef Lee Trigger.
They have chosen some amazing dishes that showcase the finest ingredients from around the Isles of Scilly and the South West of England. This includes lobster, crab, eggs and cheese all sourced from local sustainable suppliers.
Dry aged 28 days
The cornerstone of our menu at The Hall is high-quality meat. In particular, our steaks which are dry-aged in the restaurant for 28 days. Then cooked at high temperature on our American-style broiler to seal in extra flavour.
Our meat comes from our owner Clifford Freeman’s family farm, Everes’s in Gloucestershire. Where they specialise in slow-reared, grass-fed, rare British breeds like Gloucester cattle and Ryeland lamb. At Everes’s Farm every care is taken to ensure that the cattle are provided with the best possible environment, with pride in a farm-to-plate ethos.

The Hall Bar
The Hall Bar is located at the front of the building it’s fresh and modern and leads onto a wonderful outside terrace. It’s the perfect place to relax and enjoy a drink from our considered choice of wines, local beers, cider and spirits.
We also serve classic cocktails, bar food and great coffee.
To ensure the safety of guests and staff we have made some necessary changes to become Covid-secure. Keeping inline with Government guidance and following a full health & hygiene review with risk assessment. To assist us in operating safely at this time we kindly ask all guests to follow the in-house Covid-19 guidelines.
Garden Drinks 14:00-18:00
The Hall Bar area is currently closed but we are serving afternoon drinks in our lovely enclosed garden.
Tables for dinner are currently limited and reservations essential.

Dinner bed and breakfast guests enjoy one of the island’s most superior evening dining experiences at The Hall. With our menu changing regularly to match seasonality and local supply and our exciting selection of specials. You will never run out of options for a delicious evening meal.

Bed & Breakfast
Bed and breakfast guests are warmly welcomed for evening meals and are offered a 10% food discount. Just talk to the restaurant staff during the day to reserve a table with us for dinner.
